Our commitment to creating better jobs, fostering sustainable economic growth, and driving industry transformation in emerging markets continues to guide us forward. Reflecting on 2023, a year that built on our success, we acknowledge the tireless efforts of our team, the trust of our clients and investors, and the unwavering support from our partners. Together, we’ve made significant strides, particularly in marine transport services and the introduction of electric motorcycles in Angola.
Marine Transport Services in Angola

Since 2023, Videve Energy has solidified its presence at the Kwanda base in Soyo, Angola. Our newly established office, workshop, storage area, and accommodation facilities have positioned us as a key player in marine transport services in Angola, particularly in the northern region.
Operating around the clock, our team remains dedicated to reducing client downtime and boosting daily productivity. Our hands-on, safety-first approach has not only increased operational efficiency but also contributed to job creation in the region. Over the past year, approximately 25 local jobs were created, a testament to our commitment to Soyo Angola job creation and sustainable economic growth.
The work doesn’t stop here. As we move forward, our continued focus on sustainable transport solutions in Africa will see further expansion in the marine sector, providing vital services that are essential for the region’s industrial operations.
Innovation in African Transport: The Arrival of Electric Motorcycles

One of the most exciting developments of 2023 was the introduction of Africa’s best electric motorcycle, the Bob Model X. As electric motorcycles in Angola gain momentum, Videve has been at the forefront, driving this innovative shift towards cleaner, more sustainable transport options.
In collaboration with TotalEnergies and BOB ECO, the first electric scooter battery charging point was inaugurated in April 2023 at the TotalEnergies supply station in Miramar. This milestone is a critical step in supporting the growing fleet of electric motorcycles in the country, with 150 Bob Model X motorcycles now operating in Luanda. These vehicles are part of a lease-to-own program aimed at promoting self-employment and increasing mobility for motorcycle taxi services, a concept that has proven successful in other parts of Africa.
TotalEnergies Marketing Angola has committed to installing three new charging points annually at supply stations across the country, further advancing sustainable growth initiatives and contributing to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions.
The expansion of electric vehicle lease-to-own programs in Angola marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s push for greener transport solutions. With removable batteries that charge in just two hours, these motorcycles offer a practical, eco-friendly alternative for everyday transportation.
Looking Beyond 2024
Since 2023, Videve’s initiatives have not only supported the transition to sustainable transport solutions in Africa, but they have also sparked broader conversations about the future of innovation in African transport. Our work in emerging markets continues to be driven by the understanding that change requires targeted, innovative efforts.
In the coming months, we look forward to announcing new projects that will further our mission of transforming transportation across the continent. Whether through marine transport services in Angola or the continued rollout of Angola electric motorcycles lease programs, we are committed to driving progress that benefits both the economy and the environment.
: we will continue to lead in emerging markets transportation, delivering solutions that create jobs, foster growth, and pave the way for a more sustainable future.
